Signature HealthCARE at Jefferson Manor celebrated National Nursing Home Week in style. We began the week with a Mother’s Day Brunch and photographer to take portraits of all the moms and their families.
The theme for Nursing Home Week this year was “It’s a small world with a BIG heart!” so we started off the work week with Disney Day and treated the stakeholders and residents to snow cones and funnel cakes. Tuesday was Miss-Matched Day and everyone was treated to an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. Wednesday was our big event: Field Day. We had a cookout with BBQ chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs and brats, along with outdoor games. Residents and staff participated in a corn-hole tournament, outdoor bowling, and staff participated in a form of “lawn-bowling.” Thursday was Dress in Your Favorite Era Day and Stakeholders and residents were treated to Pizza Hut. To wrap things up, Friday was Fan Day–dress in your favorite team gear. Stakeholders and residents were treated to hotdogs, nachos, and pretzels.
