Jeff & Pam Magers

After several visits to various nursing facilities in the Louisville area, my husband, Jeff and I chose Jefferson Manor for our 94 year old aunt Ollie. We found it to be clean, bright, and active. Ollie settled in nicely in 2014 and resided there until her death in September, 2020. She was 100 years old and still mentally sharp. The staff was very good to her and went out of their way to accommodate her wishes. Ollie was very fond of several nurses and aides that cared for her and was as happy as one can be outside of their own home.

Ollie was a passionate UK fan and several of the staff would (when time, circumstances permitted) pop in her room and chat with her about UK basketball games, except of course during the middle of a game…they knew better. She loved to talk “smack” with them after a game and looked forward to their visits.

We are so grateful to the wonderful staff at Jefferson Manor and to Amy for her responsiveness to any concerns we had and for helping in so many ways to make Ollie’s last years as full of laughter and joy as was humanly possible. Our gratitude and respect to ALL of the JM staff for their professionalism, their dedication and their willingness to serve our greatest generation during a most difficult period.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness.
